Today marked the release date of the long awaited (well it took long enough imo) Splitting Image album. I had a chance to visit a few music stores to see if they were stocking it and I was pleasantly surprised to see it in Best Buy in Charlotte. Manifest Discs in Charlotte had a huge display for the album and Thursday’s instore as soon as you walk in as well as a section dedicated to my album. Wow… that’s a good feeling. Now it’s time to grind it out and make sure this album does what it’s supposed to do. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to listen and purchase the album. Here’s my first television appearance on MYX TV’s show DIG. It’s very interesting being in front of the camera a lote more nowadays since I’ve always been focused on JUST making the music. I guess I better get used to it…

Never in my lifetime would I have thought that choosing to go by my real name instead of my rap alias would gain so much attention (more than the music itself). To the rest of the world, I changed my name but personally, I just dropped my rap alias. I’ve heard a million reasons why I changed it (some pretty ridiculous) so I’m going to set the record straight. So for those of you who want to know or care enough to read then feel free to continue reading because this is my final time addressing it. To those who could care less….well, continue caring less! This is a long read and we are in the Twitter age where people aren’t fond of reading more than 140 characters…

Last week, we premiered the first single (Let’s Be Honest) so this week I’m blasting out the b-side to the single called “RE:Born”. The song was produced by one of my favorite producers, Vitamin D. I’ve seriously wanted to record a song with him since the first time I heard his beat CD (courtesy of my boy Alif) back in ‘02. The title is pretty much self-explanatory. It’s about feeling reborn and starting over without any pressure. It’s track #1 on the CD so it sets the tone for the rest of the album. Don’t forget…the Kam Moye album hits stores on October 27, 2009!!!
