    Reform School Music

    History

After almost 10 years of releasing music through various indie labels, Kam Moye (also known as Supastition) decided to finally place destiny in his own hands. Through his own personal accomplishments and woes, Kam was able to learn the business side of music ranging from management to booking. As recording artist Supastition, he toured abroad in more than 13 countries in 2 years and was also featured on songs alongside KRS One, Royce the 5'9, Little Brother, Elzhi (Slum Village), and One Be Lo to name a few. When his deal with Soulspazm and Rawkus Records reached an amicable end, Kam Moye had to decide on whether to continue waiting on labels to distribute his catalog or finally take on the position of being in charge. Independence was chosen and the Reform School Music label was birthed in 2006.

Reform School Music (also referred to as RSM) was founded on the principles of breaking all the rules and going against the grain of what is considered standard in the music industry. "The name Reform School was originally the name of the group project that me and M-phazes had planned to do at one point. I decided to utilize the name instead and build something off of it," says Kam Moye. The first official Reform School release was the Supastition project, Leave of Absence EP, which was originally a digital-only release in 2007. In February of 2007, RSM in conjunction with Subotage (Germany) organized the BOOMBOX producer tour which included producers such as Illmind, Marco Polo, and German producer Rik Marvel. The BOOMBOX tour debuted in Europe and reached international countries such as Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. After going through some serious personal setbacks and life-changing experiences, Kam Moye opted to record under his government instead of Supastition as well as create music that reflected his growth in life. On June 17, 2008, RSM released its most highly-praised project to date with the Kam Moye free EP, Self-Centered, without any prior advertisements, covers, or track listing until the actual release date. The free project boasted over 4000+ downloads in 24 hours and over 7000+ downloads within less than a month via Supastition.com and rappersiknow.com combined. RSM now serves as the home for Supastition and Kam Moye and is now preparing for the full length Kam Moye album, Splitting Image. Splitting Image is slated to be a very outspoken album with production from D.R. M-phazes, Symbolyc One, and a few others.
