It’s officially here… the music video for the first single, Let’s Be Honest. The song was produced by Veterano. The video was directed by Matt Koza and shot on location in Philadelphia (Malcolm X Park). I wanted to post it earlier but I was on the road doing shows so I couldn’t post it on Friday as planned. Thanks to Matt Koza and the entire crew who helped out with everything and made it a great experience. Also, Shout out to Tashea Lowery who played wifey in the video. NO…that’s not my real wife but YES that is the diamond ring that I bought her…lol. Thanks to Audible Treats and Onsmash.com for spreading the word. Enjoy!
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated the blog. Working on this new album has taken up most of my time but I’m focused on revamping it and bringing it back to life. I haven’t been listening to any albums lately because I refuse to hear other people’s music while I’m recording an album. That keeps away the influences and allows me to clear my head to write & record. But I have been keeping up with indie music videos from artists that I respect. I’ve been shooting more videos myself and trying to build up my presence so I study other music videos. I thought I’d share a few of the videos that have caught my attention recentlyand NO I’m not talking about the chest-heavy Drake video lol). Enjoy… click the link below to view the videos

I like to see people taking a different approach to making videos. This joint is called Girls Rock Too from Señor Kaos (produced by Illastrate). Dope video and great message!
Well about a month ago, I took a quick trip to Atlanta to appear in a music video for AmDex(Clan Destined). We did the collabo a few months back and he blessed me with a couple beats for my upcoming projects in return. He’s an upcoming MC/DJ/producer (produced this track by the way) currently in ATL. By no way is this a Rik Cordero video but it serves its purpose. Most artists don’t even bother to send me a copy of the song after it’s done so at least AmDex took it a step further. I applaud him for that! Check it out…

Starting Sept 9, 2008, I’ll be spending 7 whole days in California! Sounds pretty fly, right? Well…it’s definitely not gonna be all sunshine, beaches, and all that flyness that you would expect. I’ve got alot to get done in a short period of time. Within a one-week span, I’m doing a show, filming 2 videos (see below), appearing on a TV show, as well as recording a few jams (that’s what my pops calls ‘em). It’s been a minute since I’ve been to Los Angeles (August ‘06 to be exact) so I’m amped to return to the west coast and finally get to visit the Bay area (San Fran to be exact) as well. I’ve got plenty of homies out there so hopefully I’ll have a chance to link up with as many people as I can. And DJ Rhettmatic owes me Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles again!
